Thousands of years ago, humans and shinobi lived together in peace. The shinobi were advanced creatures of abilities far beyond human capability, and they were feared because of their powers. But the shinobi, suppressed for having such amazing powers, were suspected of having a weapon strong enough to destroy all mankind. In fear, the humans banished them from their lands, and exiled them to an island called Empyria.

Without the shinobi, the world around the humans soon fell to pieces, and they transitioned into a dark age unlike anything they’d experienced before. The shinobi, however, lived in perfect peace in Empyria, exhibited by the flawless cities that flourished across the land. But a new lord has recently been rising to power, gathering an army of followers to help him dig up history and awaken the weapon the humans had feared so long ago. That weapon is the power of the bijuu, a power Empyria has held close to its heart for thousands of years.

With the bijuu now being hunted, Empyria is falling into chaos similar to the human world. But this new darkness is much more severe, for the people of Empyria have hearts of ice, willing to kill in order to obtain shinobi excellence.
