PERSONALITY:

Although Kaede appears naive and innocent, she is quite fond of what fond of what goes around her and what's happening in the Kingdoom itself. But let's talk a bit about her past.

Her first years of life were hard; when she lived on the Eastern Kingdom, her mother, a successful medical fairy, raised her until she was five years old, struggling between her shifts in the Hospital and being a single mother. Kaede never knew who her father was and her mother never mentioned him either. When she was about 5 and half years, her mother disappeared, which lead Kaede to move to the Northern Kingdom, to go live with her grandparents.
Kaede, who is a mix between a fairy and an unknown race and was supposed to have a fast healing system, has actually a quite frail body and seems to get sick easily. When she was younger, health problems were part of her every day basis. And just for the record, she hated it.
With everything going around her, since her mother being missing, to her constant health problems, Kaede seemed to be always happy and cheerful; it was almost as if she didn't fully understood what was going around her. It was actually the other way around. She was extremely frustrated and angry at herself and cried almost every night for not being able to stop her mother from going missing in the past and for the fact that her mother was a fairy and yet, she had a frail body, which made everyone pretty worried about her.

All this little background lead to her personality nowadays:

And yet, she isn't just some killing machine or perfect. Far from it! When not working, she's actually very kind, sweet and fun; you just have to be patient enough.
She doesn't allow herself to get in serious relationships afraid to get hurt and she keeps her health problem a secret from everyone. But as she ever fell in love with someone? Yes, she has. Twice. So it is possible for her to fall for someone, it's just really really hard.
Despite everything, she tries to look friendly and puts a smile on her face while walking among the busy streets of the Kingdom. But do not be mistaken; she is polite, but seeing her with a smile doesn't mean she is in a good mood.

So, is she a simple person?
Not really.
As every person, she has lots of flaws. For instance, she is somewhat selfish. If it wasn't for her love for medicine, she would never even look at a book of medicine just because she wanted to help others. She just took a liking in it. Unfortunately, she isn't as skilled in the Medicine area as her mother was, so she gave up. Is she a person who gives up easily? Totally not. But she was better on the field than in a hospital, so she made a decision, which was to be part of the ANBU.

Now, when someone looks at Kaede, they just see a pretty girl with a cute and innocent face. Well, she isn't stupid. She knows how she looks like, but she sometimes takes advantage of it, either it is while fighting or in her daily basis. But she actually doesn't cares much about her appearance. As for her long and bright hair; the only reason she keeps it long is because of a memory she has of her mother telling her that her hair was very beautiful. Besides, her grandparents told her she has her mother's hair. So, she keeps it long.
